The Guesthouse am Hauchen has been part of Reit im Winkl for decades – deeply rooted, with many memories and stories.
With the renovation, we have given the house a new look without losing its character. Modern meets tradition, old meets new. The result is a place that retains the charm of the past – and at the same time is ready for many new chapters with guests who appreciate exactly that.

Guided by the heart – right from the start
Claudia is not only the hostess of the house — she is also a source of ideas, an organizational talent, a construction professional, and the heart and soul of the place. From the renovation to the breakfast buffet, she has left her mark everywhere. Her goal is always to create a place where guests feel welcome and at home. She is supported by Lore and Heinz – two people who are not always in the spotlight, but who contribute significantly to the success of the guesthouse: sometimes with wise advice, sometimes with a critical eye – and always with a lot of heart. Together, they are the well-coordinated team behind the Gästehaus am Hauchen – down-to-earth, warm-hearted, and with a twinkle in their eyes.
